Big Night Tomorrow

After a 4-1 win last night over Tampa Bay, the Caps have taken over the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference, temporarily. Philly plays tonight against the Devils while Boston faces off against Ottawa. The outcome of those games should determine where the Caps sit going into tomorrow night's season finale against the Panthers.

That being said, not only are the Caps finishing off their regular season tomorrow night, the Final Four tips off, AND we have DC United's home opener against FC Toronto. A pretty big night for Washington sports...

Regardless of how the season ends for the Caps, it's been an amazing run that Boudreau has spear-headed the second half of the season, and I can easily see a Crosby-Ovechkin rivalry developing for the next 5-10 years which will be great for the NHL and great for this town.

ahem...Ovie bandwagon jumpers...ahem...bandwagon...

Hard to be a rivalry when Sid owns a 10-1 head-to-head record. Or when Malkin dumps Ovechkin on his arse everytime Ovie takes a run at him. And don't forget, the players may change, but the results won't--Penguins own the Capitals in the playoffs!

p.s. No Playoffs for the Caps = No MVP for Ovechkin.

Come on buddy... don't be a hater. Just because there is nothing else to do in Pittsburgh other than to watch sports...

Yeah, Pittsburgh doesn't have the best local singletrack of any city in the country; doesn't have winter recreation; doesn't have the lakes, streams, and umm rivers; doesn't have any cultural events; doesn't have any parks; doesn't have diverse dining options; doesn't have the nightlife. It's just a smog-filled city with no redeeming qualities besides the Steelers, the Penguins, and PNC Park. Pittsburgh sucks.
